SpillSmart HazSorb Chemical Absorbent

SpillSmart HazSorb Chemical Absorbent is a loose particulate absorbent made from vermiculite, a naturally non-reactive mineral chosen for chemical spill response on hard surfaces. Vermiculite stays stable during use which makes HazSorb Chemical Absorbent suitable for many aggressive liquids including Class 5 oxidising agents and Class 8 corrosives. It is also suitable for use with most common acids and bases, oils, fuels, grease, coolants and solvents. The porous structure absorbs quickly and has a high holding capacity, so you use less product to achieve a dry finish compared with kitty litter or zeolite alternatives.

Using HazSorb is straightforward. Cover the spill, work the absorbent through the liquid with a stiff broom until the mix looks dry, then collect and place into a suitable yellow contaminated waste bag or container for disposal in line with local regulations. The lightweight granules spread easily, sweep up cleanly, and help prevent secondary contamination or tracking through the site.
